Ailbe Homes is a rental property support company. We are specialist providers of a complete management service that covers everything from finding and dealing with tenants to refurbishing and maintaining the property. This provides landlords with a genuinely passive income.

Ailbe Homes is owned and managed by Michael Coughlan. Michael’s experience in property renovation began at 15, when he helped to renovate his parents’ investment property. Since then, he has gained 30 years’ experience in the building industry, renovating and converting numerous properties. He has worked in all the major trades and is a qualified electrician.

Michael started investing in property in 2007, weathering changes in the market and a major recession. He has now brought his hands-on skills as a property investor and renovator to Ailbe Homes.

As a landlord himself, Michael is very aware of the uncertainties and pressures that landlords face. Recently, these have become even worse with the  Government’s intention to scrap Section 21 of the Housing Act. Many landlords are worried that this will make it harder to remove problem tenants. The Government has also changed Section 24 of the Finance Act, effectively removing tax relief for landlords on their mortgages and finance costs. This will reduce many landlords’ profits. Both amendments are set to make life even harder for UK landlords.

It was considerations like these that led Michael to develop Ailbe Homes, a one-stop solution for hard-pressed owners of rental properties. The company’s Long Lease Scheme removes the worry of problem tenants — because we manage the property, any problems with tenants become ours to deal with. The Long Lease Scheme also helps to maintain landlord profits, by consolidating all maintenance and other management costs.
